Bet on this horse…
Amanda Currie, a.k.a. Dark Horse Designs, is a designer/maker from Newmarket, Ontario.
She works intuitively with clients to create customized wearable art that facilitates personal growth through the curation of gemstone energies and design style that aims to tell the story of their healing journey.
She is inspired by the wonders of the natural world and by connecting with Spirit through nature. Her work aims to help people to feel seen and understood as they grow through transformative healing experiences, realizing their own potential and reconnecting with the fullest expression of their true authentic self.
Making for mental health...
Connecting with our creativity helps us to be more resilient. In an effort to share her gifts and help build community resilience, Currie participated in the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)'s One Brave Night campaign from 2017 to 2019 by creating one-of-a-kind hemp bracelets with all proceeds donated to the campaign.
She continues this mission by leading a team in the new Sunrise Challenge initiative each year (beginning in 2021), helping to raise awareness and funds for mental health resources at CAMH.
